## Description

At Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel, we are looking for a charismatic and passionate Sommelier, who will act as the ultimate guide to our wine cellar, delivering an iconic beverage experience for our guests.

**Primary Responsibilities Include**

-   Guide guests through our extensive wine list with warmth and expertise, suggesting perfect pairings tailored to their preferences and menu choices.
-   Manage the restaurant’s wine inventory, ensuring proper cellar storage, correct temperatures, and seamless stock rotation.
-   Communicate closely with the service team and culinary staff regarding menu updates, special pairings, and guest preferences or tasting profiles.
-   Present and serve wines, champagnes, and digestifs with elegance and grace, strictly adhering to luxury service standards.
-   Handle guest inquiries regarding vintages, regions, and winemaking techniques with professionalism, making fine wine accessible and engaging.
-   Contribute to the curation and updating of the wine list, sharing insights and feedback to constantly elevate our beverage offering.

## Requirements

**What You Bring**

-   Around 1–2 years of experience in a Sommelier or Commis Sommelier role within luxury hotels, fine-dining restaurants, or high-end venues.
-   Excellent presentation, poise, and welcoming interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for storytelling through wine.
-   Professional wine certification (e.g., AIS, FISAR, WSET, or Court of Master Sommeliers) and strong knowledge of cellar management practices.
-   Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive under pressure, ensuring smooth and elegant beverage service during peak hours.
-   Fluent in Italian and English; knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
